How does Giorgia Meloni's government affect migration movements?

In recent years, Italy has seen the far-right party in Italy win, which is chaired by the current Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

Despite the migratory pressure that Italy has, the measure that the prime minister has decreed is totally legal. This measure is the state of migratory emergency, which is used when there are natural catastrophes and the population must be attended to. Of course, there is currently no catastrophe in Italy, but in the Mediterranean there is. Because of Giorgia, thousands of immigrants are left at sea or some even die for not being able to enter the country. 

The state of migratory emergency has serious consequences and helps to reactivate the measures imposed by the Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salvini. Some measures were: The obstruction of rescue boats, the closure of reception centers for migrants, the elimination of any type of protection for these people, etc… 

The amount of migrants arrived to italy during this year reaches the 32.000 people whose 7.200 are children, this numbers are used to say that the Italian government is suffering an “invasion” of illegal migrants. The antimigratory propaganda adds in all their articles the number of 5 million of migrants arrived to Italy in the last 10 years. Another example is the number of people arrived from ukraine during the first three months of war with russia, there arrived 130.000 people with a financing of more than 750 millions of euros. 

Here we can see how the italian government capacity to receive migrants and the hypocrisy of their dirigents, that discriminates the migrants in function of its origin.
